PRAYER not Resolution for 2014

Instead of making hundreds of resolutions for 2014, I have decided after reading a blog from Wendy Blight at Living Truth, I’m going to have a 2014 Prayer.

Resolutions may last a few weeks, but eventually they are forgotten.  We all need to lose weight, we all need to be more organized, we all need to be nicer, we all need to…..  I could go on and on, however, a prayer is something we can say daily and live by the whole year.  My ONE prayer will encompass all my so-called “Resolutions”.

Below are my 2 Verses of 2014.

Hebrews 11:1 (NIV), “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

Matthew 17:20 (NIV), He replied, “Because you have so little faith, I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from her to there’ and it will move.  NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU.”

FAITH is such a small word but means so much.  It means COMPLETE trust in God.  My prayer for 2014 is to work on my Faith.  I am going to rely more on God and less on the world or myself.  Below is my prayer that I will pray daily for 365 days!!!

Dear Lord, my Jehovah Jireh, the One who will Provide for me.  I pray that my faith will help me Know what I ask for I will receive and to be certain of what I can see.  I pray even though I may not see, I will believe and I will ask and I will receive.  You are the only one who can complete me and fill the holes in my life. I pray that if I have more trust in you, my family, my friends and I will have better relationships and will grow closer to you.  I know that with you I can move mountains if I just believe, trust and have the FAITH.  2014 is going to be a great year for my family and myself.  We are going to have the FAITH that only You can provide and we will not lack for anything we NEED!  Thank you for being born in a lowly stable and most of all for dying on the cross for my sins.  You are all we need!  Amen.

I pray that you will have a PRAYER for 2014 not a Resolution.  I pray The Lord touches many hearts and souls this year and I pray I can speak about Him to unbelievers.

Happy New Year!!!
