Being a Mom is Tough

(Well, I know I’m a little late with my Blog Hop but We are in Hickory, NC playing in an All-Star tournament.)

Being a mom is tough. Right now I’m in the laundry room at the hotel washing clothes while my wonderful son is at the indoor pool. Tough Right??  No!  I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Being a mom is tough.  Last weekend I had to watch my 14 year old son (almost 15) lay around with a 102 fever and miss a ballgame. He was so pitiful. Of course, when they are sick at that age, they want you around. BUT wait till they are feeling better!!!  I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Being a mom is tough. A few weeks ago my son had his first real heartbreak. His girlfriend broke up with him. And who was there for him. Me. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Being a mom is tough. Through the sickness, through the long nights, and through the sadness, I’m his mom and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I can’t imagine my life with out him.

The Lord gave him to me for a little while to enjoy. I pray I make the most of each day and try not to take any second for granted.

Being a mom is tough. I’m lucky, I still have my baby. But I think of the mommy that never got to see her baby at his first birthday. Or the mom who lost her baby before she was even able to hold him in her arms and look into his eyes.

I know The Lord has great plans in store for my son and I know my son is Gods. I pray I teach him to live a righteous life and to love God with all his heart.  I pray he lives his life daily with God the center of it!!

Even on those tough days, I pray my son can see God in my life and the love I have for him is nothing compared to the love The Lord has for him.
