Well, it’s Day 4 and I’m still doing the 31 Day Blogging Challenge in October. I have talked about what Joy means and then a play on words with the letters. Today, I would like to write about Singing with Joy. I’m not going to record myself singing for you to listen to, because you would definitely hit the stop button.
When you are in a worship service or listening to your favorite christian music, do you sing with Joy? Do you sing for The Lord? Why not? What’s stopping you? We should want to sing shouts to The Lord.
We should want to be joyful and sing praises to Him. He is our Heavenly Father who has sacrificed so much and gave us so many blessings. Do we not sing to friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, parents, or spouses to show our love. Why not sing joyfully to the one who loves us unconditionally.
The Bible references us singing and shouting for joy in the Psalms and Proverbs many times. Below are just a few of my favorites.
Psalm 95:1 Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Psalm 98:4 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; Proverbs 29:6 Evildoers are snared by their own sin, but the righteous shout for joy and are glad.
The Word we study states to sing and shout with Joy to The Lord. We should not be shy or bashful to sing to our Savior. We should want to scream it as loud as we can what He has done for us. We should not whisper, we should SHOUT! That means everyone would hear not just a select few.
I believe He was trying to teach us to not be shy and quiet when it comes to worshiping and spreading His Word. We should be Joyful and Shout to everyone to hear.
Please join me now and sing “SHOUT TO THE LORD”. Just spend some time with the Lord and be Joyful for all He has done for you!
Dear Lord, I pray that we will all learn to sing and shout for Joy to the Lord for all his power and majesty. Amen!
