Above is the door to my quiet room. I have never had a room like this until I had to stop working. It’s my way of going into a room “to do something” and act important.
I love this room because I can come in here and talk to Jesus. In Matthew 6:6, it says to go in a room and close the door. He wants us to get by ourselves with Him. I know I can do it any where, but it feels good when you have a door to open, to go into a room and open your heart to listen and hear your Heavenly Father.
Do you have a door to go close and talk to Him, so He can help you open it?
I also think it’s because of the verse, “Ask and it will be given, Seek and you will find, Knock and the door will open.” He wants us to close the door, so we will ask, seek, and listen for Him to knock on our door. Isn’t that just amazing how His Word just goes together. His Word is real. His Word is right. His Word is ready for you to open.
Have you opened the door of your Bible cover lately? He is waiting to talk to you. I’m sure there will not be a Closed Sign on His door. His door is always unlocked and ready to open. It never squeaks, never gets stuck and it never needs to be oiled.
