There are times it is hard not to be fearful. Shootings and bombings. People taking each others lives. Not knowing what tomorrow holds. Wondering if your family is safe.
But I promise you, there are days it is harder than others. There are days that fear takes a hold on each of us. There are times when all we can do is hide.
But we also need to remember, there is ALWAYS someone there for us.
Are we suppose to live in fear? In the Bible, God says “No. Only fear Him.”
Psalm 34:4 (NIV) I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
Psalm 27:1 (NIV) The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Jeremiah 39:17-18 (NIV) “But I will rescue you on that day, declares the Lord; you will not be given into the hands of those you fear. I will save you; you will not fall by the sword but will escape with your life, because you trust in me, declares the Lord.”
Above are just a few verses to think about and meditate on during those hard times. Below are graphics with these verses you can print or put where you can remember and see all the time.
